About me.
I’m on the faculty at the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in New Brunswick NJ, and currently serve as Director of the Information Technology and Informatics Program. I teach courses in social networks, relational analytics, and Web technologies, and I conduct research on the role of information technology in our social, civic, and professional lives.
I earned a Ph.D. in Information Studies from Drexel University after earning degrees from the University of Delaware and Georgetown University. My professional background includes Web design and development, information security engineering, and cyber-incident monitoring and response management. I am currently working on a public interest technology project to support coordinated consumer activism.
In my free time I manage my dog’s Instagram account.
